Social Health Authority (SHA) registration in Kenya
Kenya's Social Health Authority replaces NHIF as the national health insurer. To make sure every visit, prescription and lab result on AfyaApp is correctly linked to your cover, register for SHA and add your membership number to your patient profile.
- 1. Register with SHA. Visit sha.go.ke or dial *147# and follow the prompts with your National ID.
- 2. Get your SHA number. SHA sends an SMS with your member number once your household details are confirmed.
- 3. Link it on AfyaApp. Open your patient profile and paste the SHA number — every hospital you visit will see your active cover.
